ABOUT MONIKA J
Monika J started her artist career as a lead vocalist in cover bands, “The Slippers” and an acoustic duo, “Monika and Jimmy” where she performed songs from the 70's, 80's 90's, 2000's to current day in a variety of genres: pop, rock, country. Some of her music inspirations are such as: Stevie Nicks, Gwen Stefanie, Blondie, Lady Gaga, PINK.

She had her first co-writing experience writing songs for an original band, “A is A” and had her first EP experience, “Ghost Garden”.

Following the original band, she started song writing and discovering herself as a solo artist. She combined her love of dance, rock and pop music and debuted her first solo single, “I Found Love” in 2019 with other singles that followed, “Slow Down” and “Don’t Leave me in the Storm”.

Currently, she is in a season of songwriting for her first solo album.

WHAT IS NEXT FOR HER?
She is currently working on her songwriting, keyboard, and recording skills and she will pop in to perform at open mics in the Chicago area to get her feet wet as a solo artist.

Her dream is to release a solo album and is in process of putting it all together with plans to release in the next year.
